Freelance guitarist, singer Gary Vogensen has been playing and singing professionally for over 40 years, living and working in the North Bay Area and touring throughout the United States, Europe and the Far East with local and national acts including; The Elvin Bishop Band, Angela Strehli, Maria Muldaur, Norton Buffalo, Michael Bloomfield, Commander Cody and the Airmen, New Riders of the Purple Sage, Boz Skaggs, Steve Miller, Etta James, Tracy Nelson, Louann Barton, Rosie Flores, Rick Danko, Lloyd Price, Carlene Carter and many others.
Gary has played prestigious venues and festivals world wide including The Monterey Jazz Festival, Austin City Limits, The Pistoia (Italy) Blues Festival, The Lucerne (Switzerland) Blues Festival, The Porretta (Italy) Soul Festival along with County Fairs, State Fairs and Music Festivals all across the US and Canada.
His diverse career also includes playing solo, duo and larger group settings for weddings and special events at local high end venues including The Meritage Resort, Napa,CA, The Silverado Resort, Napa, CA, Meadowood, Napa, CA, The Fairmont Hotel, San Francisco, CA…
